Dont leave anything (even bags or tote bags in your car where they can be seen, even if the car is locked. i was eating dinner at the Skylark last tuesday at 430 pm and I left my tote bag in the back seat of my car, it only contained some mail and my leather gloves but some idiot came and smashed my back passenger window to steal my tote bag, what the idiot didnt realize is that Skylark has cameras on the parking lot, they got nice pics of him looking in cars and smashing my window, they even got a pic of his car he was driving and license plate, but it came back as stolen (big surprise). So be careful, this happened in broad daylight, but when they are jonesing for their drugs they dont care.

That's pretty damned bold...first of all, how close to the building the parking is, and in broad daylight with windows all around, and then to have been driving a stolen car???

I need to make a mental note to throw my tote into the trunk, as I usually throw it on the passenger side floor, when I run errands on the way home from work.

I thought most car break ins were at night, and usually teenagers.

Thieves these days seem as emboldened as ever. No shame. Not a lot of worry about getting caught.

And this is why I don't care what the law says. My windows are tinted at all times.

Sorry you had to go through that. My take on it is if they can't see inside to know there's anything worth taking, they are less likely to take the risk of smashing a window for nothing. A visible bag or GPS is more enticing to them.
