Pointrider,
As someone that has been in the motorcyclists rights movement for 18 years I can tell you these things have a ripple effect. One state gets it and others adapt to their liking.
Seen it happen over and over. Hell one town out near Buffalo tried to outlaw riding atvs and dirt bikes on your own property.
Ya can keep an eye on things through the AMA website at americanmotorcyclist.com
ABATE of NY at abateny.org for ny info
on federal level at mrf.org

Pointrider,
AMA member myself as well as MRF & ABATE. I can remember wanting a Hodaka like on page 37 of April AMA mag. Ended up with a Montgomery Ward Riverside but loved it anyway.
Maybe we can get together for a ride sometime.

i've been off the street for 9 years now and back to the dirt so i can ride with my kids. we do some rec rides every year (camp and ride) and all are welcome. i'll keep you posted. there's usually a spare bike or wheeler for someone to use.AMA member myself as well as MRF & ABATE. we ran a couple of races with the Atlantic Grand Prix series in 2006 & 2007 (hare scramble). No organized racing for us in '08 just rec rides. Seemed like my kids weren't as into the racing thing as me and we were dropping a coupla hundred bucks every time we did it. So to answer your question, no i've never ran with the belden hill crew. #11
