My daughter is interested in getting a microd car. She needs one soon to start racing. Anyone know someone who has one for sale and not too expensive. Any other information or personal experience with microd racing would be appreciated.

Thanks so much for the info. for Little Wheels microd club. We took our daughter up for tryouts yesterday and she really liked it. We were able to get a scholarship for the microd so we got her signed up for the season. It is a nice track and good people running it.

I just wanted to brag a little. Yesterday my daughter won the 1st heat and the feature race in the MR1 class at Little Wheels microd race track in Freeville. This is a great track and they still have 4 or 5 cars left to fill this season. If anyone is interested in trying out and is between 6 and 17, give them a call. It is a lot of fun for the kids and you can get a scholarship so you do not have to go out and buy or rent a car.

Thank you so much HollyGolightly. She wants to go on and become a real race car driver someday while going to college and getting a degree in something else like geology or possibly Engineering.

Sorry, I took so long replying. Just saw your post tonight. My daughter is in Honor's English this year and Project Lead the Way which is an honor's course. She actually can get college credits from RIT for taking this pre-Engineering course. This is her second year in Project Lead the Way. Next year she will be in Honors Global also. In her senior year she will be taking AP Physics, and 2 AP English courses. Also in her senior year she will be getting college credits for the French she has been taking since 8th. grade. Hope she can keep doing well. School is so complicated nowdays compared to when we went. There are all different kinds of diplomas. It gets confusing.

Congrats to your Daughter.. My Children both raced microds for years.. My son for 10yrs and my daughter for 4. It was a great family experience and plenty of life lessons, friendships, accolades and defeats.. Both of my children have moved on from racing for different reasons.. But, trust me when I tell you, they are better for the people they met. My daughter is a freshmen with a 98 GPA and 3 sport athlete, So I hope the comments about AP courses was not being sarcastic,,
