Not sure what happened to the other Binghamton Senators threads I have had here, but I figured it was best to start a new one for the off-season.

It is my pleasure. Hopefully there are more signings coming, cause the sad news is, Keller may be our only offensive weapon if we can't re-sign at least a few of the many free-agents we have from last season.

I noticed our division now has 8 teams and the Atlantic division has 7. I wonder if this means the cross over rule will favor us this time. You know? Where if the 5th place team in the east has more points the 4th place team in the Atlantic, that team will cross over and compete in the Atlantic division. Kind of how like Bridgeport was the lucky one last season.

That would be great for us. There have been at least two seasons (Last season and a couple of years ago.) where that rule favoured the Atlantic division.

Or the AHL could eliminate the need for that stupid rule by doing what the NHL and the ECHL do. Top eight teams qualify for the post season.

I really hope they do away with the crossover rule all together. Maybe that's why their not dealing with the playoff format till July, because they are doing something different. That crossover always always screws somebody and like you said, it is usually us. We will see what happens come July.

That's a shame. I really liked the guy. But his family is in British Columbia (I think), and like Tom Mitchell said, That's gotta be tough on him.

Well, unfortunately it leaves Binghamton in a tough spot right now. It is no wonder this team can't play consistent hockey, we haven't had a coach stay here for more than a year in a long time.

This is a good pick up by Ottawa. If he plays like he did last year, he'll make up for a good amount of the offense the B-Sens have lost this offseason.

I wonder how well he and Keller would play together. Seems like a good fit. Hopefully both will play to their full potential.

I am keeping my fingers crossed. We have had good teams on paper the last couple years and it hasn't panned oyut, so there ius really no way to tell at this point what we will get.
