Jamar Smith-UMass Beddoe-Stoney Brook SCC's end at Wagoner Verutto( wherever he is.) And that big guy (line guy that went to the prep school in PA.-he went to UE). On here some people where saying Maryland, Illinois etc. where interested in him. How about D. Jones with the Nittany Lions? Did I get them all? If someone is really into sports reporting, how about our area guys playing D-2 and D-3 football? Can't be any worst than our own newspaper that doesn't say a word about Any sports update in this area.

section4football.com used to have a link that would take you to each college that has section IV players on their teams. Don't know if he still does or not.

Last season I did not update that page, but did still have the 2008 data there. it shows upwards of 100 or more Section 4 alum who were playing college and/or pro football. That 2008 data is still there.

I am on the fence right now if I will update it for 2010. It does take a lot of time. If I do it, it likey will not be before the season starts as I still have a ton of updating to do just for the 2010 schedule, results and standings. Perhaps as the season rolls on I can update the Alumni In College page.

I just updated the Alumni In College part of that page. It has information for nearly three dozen colleges with Section 4 Alumni playing football this season.

You can access it at the Section 4 Football link below, and then selecting "Links - 2010 Updates" in the pull-down menu, right below the scrolling scores. If it still says "2008" there, hit F5 or Ctrl-F5

How about Jake Spalik being named NJAC player of the week(Brockport). That just shows you that you can make it when you're an athlete with determination and you don't have the size.( 5'8".., 145 lbs.)

Not to take away from the accomplishment, but he was ROOKIE of the week, not PLAYER of the week - big difference!
