I know they dont play each other this year, which is a crying shame, but lets discuss the following:
1.) Who has the tougher schedule?
2.) How will they do versus common opponents?
3.) Who would win if they played each other this year?
JC vs. M-E

1.) Who has the tougher schedule?
Well, they have four common opponents: Dryden, Waverly, Owego and Southside. So ignoring home and away that's a wash.
The non common are M-E has Vestal, Ithaca, EFA and Binghamton while JC has Horseheads, CV, Oneonta and Norwich. I'd say M-E's is clearly tougher.

2.) How will they do versus common opponents?
M-E 4-0 or 3-1. They might lose to Southside. JC pretty much the same except they WILL lose to Southside. Could get upset by Owego.

3.) Who would win if they played each other this year?
M-E by one TD if early in the season, two or three if late in the season.

Better question is why are they not playing each other? They are same size schools 5 minutes apart. Deinhardt asked his buddy Gaybarino on the sect 4 scheduling committee to make sure they did not play, SAD.

That is a load of crap- Deinhardt would never say anything like that- He'd play ME every other week if he could. It is a shame they aren't playing though. I'm sure the ME and JC players coaches and fans would have liked to experience that game

Not in football they ain't.
One, cont 'em ONE Section 4 championship in the last 11 seasons, just TWO in the history of the state playoffs. THREE in the 30 season history of Section 4 championships. And that's - in most seasons - in our second smallest class.

ME would kill JC. ME is loaded for the next 2-3 years.

We will never know. ME is in class A and JC is in class B. If you look at JC's schedule over Deinhardt's tenure, they have not played Binghamton, UE, Chenango Forks, or Ithaca. Now he begs the schedule committee to stay away from ME. Their lack of competition certainly showed last year when Westhill dominanted the Wildcats. What a shame.
