Welcome to the big boys side of STAC M-E. You're finally playing schools closer to your enrollment.

Vestal - 8
M-E - 2

LOL

What response could possibly be given? M-E was OWNED by Vestal and i'm sure it will be the same through many of the games in the STAC Metro/West. I'm aware that M-E has won 2 sectional titles lately, but niether time did they have to play EFA in Class "A" (who are on the West/Metro side of the conference). As far back as I can remember, EFA is 2-0 against M-E in sectional play within the last 5 years including a 5-2 blowout in Elmira. I only use EFA as an example because they are the only quality "A" school in the Metro/West.

Welcome to the big boys M-E...best of luck, you'll need it.

Just realized tht M-E was TIED with Binghamton 1-1 at the half before the match was called due to heat. Binghamton wins 2-3 games a season in the STAC Metro/West and they are usually over lowly ESS. M-E, you're beginning to show that you were just a big fish in a little pond in the Central/East. Too bad you have to play some real teams now.

M-E is playing bigger schools now, not schools their size. The Central is schools their size. Sectionals are where you find out who's best on a level playing field.

Wrong, ESS and EFA who they will now play are the closest in size to ME in STAC. ME is much larger than JC, Owego, SV, CV, CF etc..for years they have been the biggest fish in the small pond now they are in with the schools closer to their size

You fool...EFA is SMALLER than M-E. Not to mention that they have been playing the bigger schools for years and still manage to put together a winning record every year.

LOL

Continued excellence from the ME JV FOOTBALL DYNASTY today. Another day, another win.

That makes it thirteen wins in a row for the JV football dynasty dating back several years.

Congrats coaches/players, you are truly part of the ME excellence.

Take a bow ME JV FOOTBALL DYNASTY, take a bow.

ME 1-0.

I would also like to mention that EFA just beat the biggest school in the section so now they have a 3-0 record.

EFA and Soaring Capital have been good for quite a while. It will be interesting when the original poster and the Bears play them. He was modest and did not say his name but he was the star of last game.

Not much larger- they are class B schools. For sectionals, schools are grouped by # of students in grades 9-11. Yes, only 3 grades. The numbers are posted on the NYSPHSAA site and at a running site- www.tullyrunners.com- look for the classifications link on the home page.
U-E, Ithaca, Bing, HH are all double M-E's size. Vestal is quite a bit larger (not double) Corning East and West are larger and combined they more than double M-E. ESS is larger and EFA about the same.
Someone has to be the largest in their class- that used to be JC, now M-E is a little bigger.
It's just numbers.

Here you go. Numbers are for grades 9-12. Classes are for cross-country. It changes with each sport depending on how many schools, state wide, have the sport. In XC there are about 140 schools per class statewide- but notice how "bottom heavy" section IV is?

Not looking for anything really. People bring up a 5-2 game where EFA had three pk's and a direct at the 18. What I'm saying that is if that game is brought up, then we should bring up the fact EFA could not get by JC last year.

It's funny that you're still talking about M-E soccer. I remember that EFA/ME match. You forgot to mention that one of ME's two goals was also a PK. EFA was ranked like 7th in the state that season and completely dominated that match. As for the JC game last season, are you aware that EFA was playing without 3 of thier all division players due to swine flu? M-E should count thier lucky stars that JC beat a sickness plagued EFA squad because from what i've heard from people, M-E was the 2nd best team in Class "A" behind EFA last season.

Not to metion EFA doesn't receive red cards like M-E, thier fans/parents don't complain as much, and EFA actually has a coach that knows the game and has built the program.

You forgot to add, "controls his players". The M-E coach doesn't do that either
