Seton is returning four out of five starters and has a very deep bench. Three of those starters will playing at the college level - D2 or higher. They'll probably win the STAC title and the class A sectionals but may have a tough time against Jamesville-Dewitt in the state quarterfinals. Being in the National Division of the Stop DWI Tournament this year tells you about all you need to know about how strong they'll be this year and the only team in the region that will be able to matchup with them is Binghamton.

Torto and Smothers may play at the next level D-III is more likley, but I am not sure who the third player is you are refering too.

Any graduates from last year playing college hoops this year? I know Garbade is at Princeton and Powell is at Oswego.

Garbade is attending Princeton for the education. He will rarely see the court in his 4 years there.

sv has a good chance at going all the way this year. they have the most size with normile and benton and that one kid who got hurt during soccer season and have some good outside shooters that can also handle the ball.

Who's the top teams this year in STAC?

binghamton isn't gonna be as good as people think. kj is a ball hog and will try to shoot his team back in the game if ther down when his jumper is definitely suspect. it will be interesting to see if anyone else on the team will get a shot this year or if rose will continue to shoot 20-25 times a game like he did at UE.

Why the hate on this kid ?

He is already much further advanced than the Foote kid from SVE that went to Cornell and was a big contributor on a team that made the Sweet Sixteen.

You are a jealous, ignorant fool. A very small person.

Princeton has played four games and The Kid hasn't seen the court yet. STUD

Sorry to say, No.

Lashier and Griffiths are coaching.

Woitach will be missed, great person, great basketball coach!

Lashier is an A-Hole and a terrible human being. Some of the stuff that I witnessed him doing on a basketball court were pure classless. If he can't control himself he will not be the head coach at JC or anywhere for long. Griffiths = arrogant.

M-E will struggle this year.. no starters back at all unless you include the Kyle Gallagher kid.. have bunch of underclassmen up(should be very good in the near future) but not really any stud..Carter Austin isn't playing I heard, but I think the Heimes kid is better anyways... Wouldn't underestimate them though, Ocker is to good of a coach not to put out a tough and disciplined team.

both gallagers will start and dominate inside against anyone

section 4 bball is a joke the only team that could make it out of this section is seton because the rest of the teams are trash and they wont even last in states

This is Seton's last chance to win a state title but have moved to A so it is doubtfull they will go far. They entered the DWI tournament in the national division and the coach and players will find out how litttle they know about basketball. The good Players in this area need to play downstate or Buffalo in the off season to get better. To be the best here doesn't mean much. The competition here is not enough to make you great.

Setons biggest problem - too many offensive sets in the playbook and too conservative to allow good players to express themselves.

Sinicki has no answer for a team that plays zone defense. Even marginal teams from Section IV can hang with Seton if they sit in a 2-3 zone and make them shoot from the outside.

This has been demonstrated repeatedly - year after year.

Sinicki sees the zone every year and usually beats it. Beating any zone defense is easy enough with good inside outside passing and shooting and matching your best offensive players against a zone defense's less capable defensive players. Matchup problems are the death of a zone defensive scheme and you must know all about that since you're such a freaking genius - - - NOT !!!!!

Seton is not very good this year. They beat us in Oneonta but were not impressive at all. They will get destroyed in the national division at the DWI and won't win a game outside section iv as a class A IF they are lucky enough to win the section.

In other words they will beat and are better than any team you follow.

Binghamton will go undefeated. Great coaching plus Too much talent coming back, plus the addition of region's premier Player KJ Rose - who left UE due to the unprofessional and unethical things that the UE Bball coaching staff and athletic department do on a routine basis. That place UE) is a wreck. Their winning season last year was all due to the dominance of Rose and the team that was left to that inept coach. You will see this year when they come last in their division......BHS should win it all.

this is a complete joke..great coaching? hes the worst coach in all of section iv they have some of the most talent in the area and he doesnt utilize it. stac title will come down to bing and scc but remember last year who held kj rose to a season low of 8 points int the stop dwi..hes not all that great and can be stopped..walter sampson is the best player on that team no doubt about that..seton has 4 returning starters who all contributed alot with the 4 year player of tom torto who was the stac mvp so we'll see who comes on top

Seton is a C school by enrollment for basketball but what I hear they are going to play 'A' in the sectionals. Why do they have such a weak schedule during the year? It is not going to help them prepare for sectionals.
