:) Thanks^. Won't they be a smaller fish in a bigger pond or doesn't it matter? How will it affect their standing come March? Do you think they'll play a higher quality ball because of the league?

They were top 5 in the Nation for most of the season in basketball...the main reason they are going ACC. The Big Beast is arguably the best Basketball conference in the NCAA. It is all money and they will survive on basketball alone. How is Dukes Baseball or Football team? The will be a Big Dog in Football also. LaCrosse also. Baseball? Does Syracuse even have a team? They will be fine.

I didn't mean to imply Syracuse isn't a great ball club. Just thinking the transition to a different dynamic/culture may be perhaps motivating in itself...or it could be disasterous. Considering the drama they had to endure last year I hope the change will catalyze positive results.

Why is Syracuse leaving the Big East and moving to the ACC? It's a good thing, no?

If they hadn't made the move the football program would have been stuck in a league with a bunch of no names. The AAC will help their football recruiting.

I am not thrilled about their move, but in the long run it may work out with a few other realignments. Think about Penn State and ND moving to the ACC and being put in the Northern Division.

Penn State, ND, Syracuse, BC, Pitt, MD, VA and VT in the same division. It's a condensed and better version of the BE!

It's a given that nobody will be giving ND the TV big contract they have now, so they will be shopping for a league. PSU doesn't belong in the Large 11.
